Buoyancy Aid: Also known conversationally as Life Jackets, but with some key differences

Also known as buoyancy aids, these devices are essential when you are spending your summer activities on the water and want to be completely worry-free. In the following paragraphs, we will explain when and why they are used. For contrast with classic life jackets, swimming vests are distinguished by the fact that they provide reliable buoyancy in calm waters with assistance nearby, while keeping your arms free for paddling, water skiing, SUPing, and other water sports. Different Types and Materials in Manufacturing

Vests for Jet Ski and Wakeboard

These are most often made of neoprene and are tailored for a better fit. They may also be called Impact Vests. The internal foam is denser and is strategically placed in areas to protect you upon impact with the water. They may also be longer to cover the lumbar area for even greater safety. More affordable versions of these vests are made from polyester materials.

Kayaking and SUP

Buoyancy aids are significantly narrower and have less volume. When worn, they are comfortable, feature large arm openings, and are much higher on the back so you can sit in a kayak seat back without difficulty. They may contain filler foam in individual sheets or in one single piece. A zipper on the vest is optional. Some models have a zipper in the front for easier dressing, while slightly more purpose-built vests, primarily for kayaking, do not have a zipper and are pulled over the head.

Fishing Vests

Additional pockets for gear, camouflage colors, and longer cuts allow for great comfort while fishing. At the same time, they also keep you warm as they function as an insulator.

Safety and Maintenance

Buoyancy Aid vest usually have adjustable side straps and quick-release buckles for a better fit. The materials used are nylon or polyester. Children's models offered in our shop also have a safety feature, a strap underneath the vest to prevent the child from potentially slipping out of the jacket. 

Purchasing a swimming vest today is similar to buying a bicycle helmet. It is needed more than one might initially think.

Here is a maintenance tip: some vests have removable foam inserts so the vest can be washed in a washing machine at 30 °C at the end of the season. This will clean the vest of salt and, potentially, sunscreen, which will extend the lifespan of your vest.
