AutoArt Audi Sport Quattro S1 Rally 1:18

ID: AUTO88602

With number 6 drivers Hannu Mikkola and Arne Hertz drove to the final victory in 1986 at the Monte Carlo Rally in Group B. The Audi Sport Quattro S1 was one of the most technologically advanced rally cars of its time, and it helped Audi dominate the World Rally Championship in the mid-1980s. The S1 that won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1986 was powered by a 2.1-liter turbocharged inline-5 engine that produced 500 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. It was also equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive. The S1 could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 270 mph. It was also one of the most agile and responsive rally cars of its time.

An exceptional example of a 1:18 scale model with extremely interesting details that carries not only a piece of history, but also the harsh reality of Group B, which was later discontinued prematurely due to numerous accidents.

The Audi Sport Quattro S1 was a highly successful rally car that won numerous championships and races. It was also a very dangerous car, and it was involved in several fatal accidents.

The Group B rally class was a short-lived but highly exciting era of rallying. It was characterized by high speeds, powerful cars, and numerous accidents. The class was discontinued in 1986 due to safety concerns.
